What should I do to live a life of faith with the assurance of salvation?

< Question > I have been attending church for several years, but I am not sure of salvation. I am so envious of the saints who live happily and happily, hoping for a life in heaven with the assurance of salvation. So when someone asks, “Are you sure you can go to heaven after you die?” I hesitate because I don’t know how God will view me. How can we live in the hope of heaven with the assurance of salvation?

< Answer > Originally, God the Creator created man in his own image and blessed him to subdue the earth, rule over all living things, and enjoy eternal life as a child of God (Genesis 1:26-28). Therefore, God, who is a spirit, also gave a spirit to man to become a living spirit, and worked so that they could communicate with each other and give and receive love through the spirit. However, because man sinned, his spirit died and he was unable to communicate with God. Because there is a law in the spiritual world that the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23), those who become sinners cannot enjoy all the blessings God has given them. We lived in this land of tears, sorrow, pain, sickness, poverty, and death, and after we died, we had to suffer eternal punishment in Hell.
God, who is omnipotent and omnipotent, knew in advance that the wages of sin would lead to destruction, and prepared the way of salvation before the ages, and longed for all people to come to salvation through the door of salvation. Anyone who follows the path of salvation and enters the door of salvation will be saved from God, all sins will be forgiven, and all the blessings that have been lost will be restored. Therefore, you will gain the authority to become a child of God, and you will be able to establish communion with God who is the Spirit again, and you will not only receive the blessing of all things on this earth, but also enjoy eternal life in heaven.
Therefore, those who enter into the realm of salvation through the gate of salvation have the assurance of salvation. This is because you can discern whether you are a child of God, whether you will enter the kingdom of heaven after death and enjoy eternal life through the Word of God already written in the Bible, and you can also know through the Holy Spirit that God has given you as a gift.
However, there are some believers who are within the realm of salvation but do not have the assurance of salvation, and there are others who believe that they will be saved even though they are not within the realm of salvation. We must come into the frame of salvation set by God and become blessed saints who live a life of faith with confidence.

  1. You must believe in Jesus Christ and receive the Holy Spirit In
John 14:6, Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through me.” cannot be saved; there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.” As such, God has set the boundaries of salvation so that we can be saved only through Jesus Christ. That’s why John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”
So how should we believe in Jesus Christ? Romans 10:9-10 says, “If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. come,” he said. You must clearly understand why Jesus becomes the Savior, believe in your heart, confess with your mouth, and believe in the risen Jesus Christ. As it is recorded in the Bible that the right to become children of God was given to those who received Jesus Christ and believed in His name (John 1:12), we have the assurance of salvation that we have become children of God through the Bible.
Also, Acts 19:2 asks, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” When we believe in Jesus Christ, God sends us the Holy Spirit as a gift (Acts 2:38), because he gives us the Holy Spirit to seal and guarantee that we are children of God (2 Corinthians 1:22). Therefore, we must believe that we have received the Holy Spirit and become children of God, and we must live by faith. Romans 8:16 says, “The Holy Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God.”
If you open your heart in this way, receive Jesus Christ and believe in His name, you will receive the Holy Spirit as a gift as evidence of becoming a child of God and have the assurance of salvation. This will be (John 3:5).
  2. You must become a person who follows the desire of the Holy Spirit and walks in the light When
you receive the Holy Spirit and become a child of God, you will overflow with joy and work hard to worship and praise God and live according to the Word of God. However, after some time, conflicts arise in our hearts along with the joy of becoming a child of God. This is because the law of the flesh, which has been living according to the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, will fight against the law of the Holy Spirit, who wants to live according to the lust of the Holy Spirit anew. The Apostle Paul expressed his feelings at this time by saying, “O wretched man I am! who will deliver me from this body of death” (Romans 7:24).
However, if we follow the desire of the Holy Spirit and put our efforts in prayer to become walkers in the light, the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness and makes intercession for us with groanings that cannot be uttered (Romans 8:26). can. A person who walks in the light can have fellowship with God who is the light, and because the blood of the Lord cleanses us from all sins (1 John 1:6-7), we can live a sanctified life.
Therefore, in Matthew 7:21, Jesus says, “Not everyone who says to me, Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only those who do the will of my Father who is in heaven.” And in James 2:17-22, “ Faith without works is itself dead… . Faith works with works, and by works faith was made perfect.” That is, when we keep and act according to the truth of God’s Word, we will live a life separated from the world as a child of God and reach salvation.
As such, if you receive the Holy Spirit by receiving Jesus Christ and strive to walk in the light by following the desire of the Holy Spirit, you have faith in action and you must have the assurance of salvation. Even if you are not able to fully follow God’s word at present, do not become discouraged, listen to God’s word earnestly in the assurance of salvation by faith, and work hard in prayer. .
