This is Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee, Senior Pastor of Manmin Central Church in Seoul, Korea. I wish for your life to be filled with God’s love and blessing. I want to share God’s grace with you through this message titled “We Can Always Lead a Victorious Life.”

In the 20th chapter of 2 Chronicles, when a multitude of the sons Moab and Ammon invaded, King Jehoshaphat soundly defeated the enemies by depending on God alone. When a prophet of God prophesied that they would defeat the invading army, he believed the word, and he appointed those who praised God in holy attire and permitted them go and praise God before the army. Then, the enemies waged war against each other and both of them were completely destroyed. In addition, King Jehoshaphat gained a large amount of the spoils of war.

In the same way, nothing is impossible to you if you rely on the almighty God. Proverbs 21:31 says, “The horse is prepared for the day of battle, But victory belongs to the LORD.” If you completely commit every affair including wars, homes, works, and businesses to God, you can always lead a victorious life.

What are the secrets leading to victorious lives in any circumstances?

First, you have to rely on God in a humble manner in everything. No matter how much wisdom and ability you have, you have first to pray and examine what the will of God is.

Secondly, you have to hear the Holy Spirit and receive His guidance and supervision. No matter how long you have lived a Christian life and no matter how much biblical knowledge you have, you cannot be guided by the Holy Spirit without the circumcision of your heart. You can hear His voice and be guided and controlled by Him more clearly to the extent that you have thrown away your sins and purified your heart, to the same extent you can then realize and act by the wisdom of God.

Thirdly, you have to completely obey the voice of the Holy Spirit. If you fail to obey the voice of the Holy Spirit, He cannot work through you anymore. Still worse, if you continue to disobey His voice, His voice becomes dimmer and He hesitates to control your life. Finally he stops guiding you. Therefore, if you find the will of God through the work of the Holy Spirit, even if it seems to give you no benefit and you fall under hard circumstances, you must become obedient in attitude always.

Proverbs 16:3 says, “Commit your works to the LORD And your plans will be established.” The people of the world depend on their own wisdom, knowledge and power in vain. But, nothing is impossible to the children of God who believe that God is alive and completely commit their problems to God.

May each of you fully rely on God the Lord of hosts in everything you do and lead a victorious life, in the name of our Lord I pray!
