I wish for your life to be filled with God’s love and blessing. I want to share God’s grace with you through this message titled “Trust and Blessing.”

A person who always keeps his word is found to be trust worthy and is recognized and praised by the people around him, but someone who breaks his word is not trusted and fails to lead a successful life. We can be successful in everything only when we keep promises made and fulfilling the things that we have promised. He who keeps his words is faithful to God’s promises so that he can receive God’s recognition and favor and lead a truly blessed life.

of Samuel was a great prophet of Israel. His mother, Hannah, faithfully kept her word that she had spoken before God. She lived in her husband’s love but had no child. Her husband, Elkanah, had another wife Peninnah who became jealous of Hannah and bitterly provoked her just to irritate her.

Hannah told God all her sufferings and the shame that she felt because of her infertility. She vowed that if God would give her a son, she would offer him to God as a servant who would work for the Glory of God all the days of his life. God listened to her earnest prayer and blessed her to give birth to a son. The son was Samuel.

The son she gained through that earnest prayer was such a precious and lovely son to her! Samuel was the only hope to her. He was a precious treasure that she could not be replaced even by her own life. But she fulfilled the words of her vow. It would never been easy for her to offer him to God if she had followed any human thought. But she never hesitated to give God her son.

What kind of blessing did God give her when she kept her vow toward God? God opened her womb and gave her three sons and two daughters in addition to Samuel. In the same way, if you possess the heart in which you always keep your words toward God, God will surely answer you and give you blessing.

The Bible speaks about the promises to receive the blessing of our Faithful God many times. One of His most famous promises is recorded in Deuteronomy 28. God promises us that if we carefully listen to all His commandments and diligently obey them, then God will set us high above all the nations of the earth, bless you when you come in and when you go out, and you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow from any.

Therefore, may each of you keep your words not only for others, but also for yourself and our God. Then you can receive all the blessings that God gives, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ I pray!
