3st Spirit, Soul, Body (1)

2004-09-12 Day of the week 2:24-25

The 3rd level of soul and body is more in-depth than the 1st and 2nd words, and it proceeds first in the field of the flesh, then in the field of the soul and then in the field of the spirit. Today is the first class in the field of the flesh among the 3rd soul and body.

The content of the first soul and body was mainly about how the human body is formed and how it grows. Next, the second soul and body testified by focusing on “knowing the true self”, because knowing about the true self, that is, one’s soul, can lead to the right pursuit of the true value of life. Even if the breath stops and the body rots away, the soul never perishes. Therefore, depending on what value you pursue and how you live on this earth, heaven and hell are decided.

The theme of the third soul and body that will be witnessed in the future is “eternal life.” As a child of God, it is the word that enables us to have eternal life by forming “soul and body belonging to the spirit.” If the word of God dwells in your heart, you can have eternal life, and because you abide in the Lord and God, your heart’s desires can also be fulfilled.

1. To become a perfect spirit

In the past, it was said that the human heart has clear truths and obvious untruths, as well as conscience and nature. Both conscience and nature are a mixture of truth and untruth, and each person is different. As we come into contact with evil and see, hear, and accept evil in our hearts, our conscience gradually becomes evil, and even when we see evil, we do not know that it is evil. Conversely, the more you believe in God and plant the truth in your heart, the more your conscience will change for good.

Therefore, we can be completely sanctified only when we cast off the untruthful heart that is clear in the heart of man, cast off the evil of conscience, and discover and cast away even the evil in our nature.

If we compare nature with soil, it is the same as soil, and it is passed down through the spirit of the parents. Since we cannot discover the untruth in our nature ourselves, like Job and David, God allows us to try and discover the untruth in our deep nature. Therefore, when a person does not sin either in deed or heart, achieves a good conscience, and discovers and casts off even evil in his nature, he or she can achieve a perfect heart.

2. To put off the flesh and learn the way that belongs to the spirit

The word “flesh” has two meanings. The first refers to “the visible and tangible body”, and the second is to “corrupt and perish, and all things pertaining to untruth,” which is the opposite of spirit. In the field of the flesh among the third soul and body, by throwing off all the untruthful flesh, you will learn the way that belongs to the eternal and spiritual spirit.

To know about the flesh, you need to know terms such as the body, the deeds of the body, the flesh, the works of the flesh, the flesh, the works of the flesh, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life. Before learning the spiritual meaning, the body, the body, and the body all seem to be alike, and the conduct of the body, the work of the body, and the work of the body seem to have no difference. However, these terms clearly have their own meanings, and only when you know the meanings and read the Bible can you understand the concept of salvation more accurately and the method of sanctification in more detail.

3. Know about the body and its deeds

As Romans 8:13 says, “If you live according to the flesh, you will surely die, but if you put to death the deeds of the body by the Spirit, you will live.” First, you must know about the deeds of the body. The body here does not refer to our body, but to the fleshly body that has been stained with untruth after the knowledge of the spirit that God has implanted in man has escaped.

For example, let’s say we have a cup of some liquid, the cup is our body and the liquid in the cup is our spirit. A cup is valuable if it contains clean water or beverages, but is only a dirty cup if it contains dirty filth.

Likewise, Adam’s body was a valuable and immortal body when it was a living spirit. It did not grow old, did not die, did not decay, and had a bright and beautiful spiritual body, and its behavior was also revealed as the noblest and most dignified behavior.

However, as the knowledge of the truth escaped from Adam and the untruth was filled in, the human body became a body that grows old, gets sick, dies, decays, and perishes. Also, the deeds of the body after being transformed into the flesh are deeds that follow the untruth contained in the body.

For example, some people raise their fists when they feel bad, or slam doors and throw objects when they are angry. There are people who get cursed every time they say a word, and there are people who show lustful eyes, facial expressions, and gestures when dealing with the opposite sex rather than neat behavior. Some people put strength on their shoulders when dealing with subordinates and speak arrogantly in a commanding and directing tone. If you are filled with untruth in this way, your body’s deeds will appear as a result. Acts in the body include not only obvious criminal acts, but also all imperfect acts.

Some people habitually tap others while talking or unconsciously point their fingers at people. Some people raise their voices when they are engrossed in their conversation, making it sound like they are fighting. These things seem like trivial things in a way, and just because you don’t throw these things away doesn’t mean you’re going to die.

However, if your heart is filled with the truth, evil will not appear, and you will have graceful and perfect conduct. Even the way you sit, walk, tone of voice, and facial expressions are beautifully crafted in the truth, so your life itself ascends into a fragrance that pleases God at every moment.

I used to think that it was strange because electricity went up when I grabbed the doorknob for a while. This happened over and over again, so every time I opened and closed the door, I gently grabbed it and opened and closed it carefully. Eventually, this became a habit, and when holding and releasing other objects, it moved softly and meekly, and the electricity stopped going up.

So what I realized was, “God wants us not only to put away our sins, but also to make even one of our deeds truly perfect in the culture of the Lord.” It was a good experience for me to feel the delicate love of the Father, who leads me to completely change my behavior, as if I could not even hear the sound of passing by (Phil 4:8, 1 Pet 1:15). .

4. The Flesh and the Works of the Flesh

As the truth, the knowledge of life, escaped from the first man, Adam, the human body became a body of perishable flesh. Because he became a fleshly body in this way, he puts sin in his body and commits sin by doing it. This is the connection with the words flesh and flesh.

Romans 8:13 says, “If you live according to the flesh, you will surely die, but if you put to death the deeds of the body by the Spirit, you will live.” To die here means eternal death, that is, hell. If the body means our body made of bones and flesh, the believers who believe in the Lord can also be said to be in the flesh, so it means that everyone must go to hell. So, the body here does not just mean the body, but has a different spiritual meaning.

Also, Romans 9:8 says, “The children of the flesh are not the children of God.” Even in this case, if the flesh means a body made of bones and flesh, it means that we are not children of God either. So, here too, we need to be able to understand what the word flesh means spiritually.

In the Bible, the word “flesh” has a spiritual meaning like this a lot (Romans 7:14, 1 Corinthians 3:1, 1 Corinthians 3:3). The spiritual meaning of the word “flesh” used in this case is the combination of the human body and the sinful nature from which the truth has been drawn out. When the enemy devil implants various sinful natures in people, they are joined to the body.

Next, the works of the flesh refer to the things that classify the sinful nature of the flesh (Romans 8:5). Hatred, contention, envy, jealousy, lies, deceit, pride, bloodlust, judgment, condemnation, adultery, and greed are the flesh when we say it collectively, and when we say each one separately, it becomes a work of the flesh.

However, the word flesh is not always used in this sense in the Bible. For example, when it is said about Jesus that the Word became flesh (John 1:14), the word flesh does not mean the union of sin and the body, but merely a human body. Even if we use the same word like this, whether it is a physical body in a spiritual sense or a body just meaning a body, we have to discern according to the context.

If a person has a body, that is, if the sinful nature is combined in the body, not only will he sin in his mind and heart, but he will come out through works. For example, if you have a false attribute in your heart, you will come up with words and actions that deceive others. In this way, it is the body that comes out through deeds, and I will explain it in the next section.

Dear saints,

To believe in Jesus Christ as Lord means to become a new creature who is no longer enslaved to sin (Romans 6:6) and lives in obedience to the Word of God. The old man who died and was put on the body of corruption must be nailed to the cross and transformed into a new man belonging to the spirit.

I will testify in detail over the next several hours on how to put off the body of sin and put on the new man. In brief, you just have to keep and do what the Bible tells you to do, do not, throw away, and keep. At that time, your body will be transformed into a spiritual body filled with the truth, and you will receive the perfect fruit of salvation as the holy children of God.

Therefore, I bless you in the name of the Lord that you will dissect each and every part of your body and cast off all of it, so that you will soon be transformed into spiritual children of God and be ready to meet the Lord who will come again.
