Scripture: John 7:37
“Now on the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, ‘If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink.'”
I wish your life will be filled with the love and blessing of God. Today I want to share the grace with you through the message titled with “Spiritual Thirst.”
If you have eaten nothing for several days and found a very precious stone in the desert, could you feel happy with that costly stone? What good is the precious stone if you starve to death? It is because something to eat and drink is the most essential to you.
This is the same in faith. Just as Matthew 5:6 says, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied,” if you earnestly hunger and thirst for the righteousness of God, you will be satisfied.
The Webster Dictionary refers to “being righteous” as “acting in accord with divine or moral law” or “free from guilt or sin.” Spiritual righteousness that God recognizes is accomplished when you follow the will of God and it refers to everything that you have to do until you become sanctified.
If you are thirsty to accomplish the righteousness of God, you will be recognized to have faith and hope for heaven, and long to become sanctified before God, resemble the heart of the Lord, and participate in the divine nature.
Then, you will receive the blessing and become satisfied in spirit. In order to become satisfied in spirit, you have to fill your heart with spiritual bread. What does it refer to in spirit?
Jesus said in John 6:55, “My flesh is true food, and My blood is true drink.” In short, Jesus is our true bread. Jesus was the very person who the Word but became flesh and came to this earth. So, when you diligently listen to and practice the word of God, your spirit will be filled with the bread of spirit.
The more you keep and practice the word of truth, the greater the power and authority our God will give you. With the power and authority you can control and rule over the enemy devil and Satan and have deep fellowship with God so that you can be prosperous in everything you do.
Moreover, you can discover sins and evils and accomplish sanctification by throwing them off quickly. In addition, our God will be pleased and say, “What shall I do for you? Ask me whatever you want.” He will not only give you the blessing of good health and finance but also enable you to accomplish the kingdom of God to the utmost degree and lead you to sit on the glorious position in heaven.
Therefore, as written in Matthew 4:4, “Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God,” may each of you long for the true and spiritual things and make your spiritual bread of the word of God, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ I pray!
