Scripture: Proverbs 1:33
“But he who listens to me shall live securely and will be at ease from the dread of evil.”
I pray that your life may be filled with God’s love and blessing, and now I want to share the grace with you yhrough the message titled with “Peace.”
When you are asked whose face looks the most peaceful, most of you will answer that that of a baby sleeping inside the bosom of his mother. People want to lay down all kinds of burdens and anxieties and hope to lead a peaceful life like such a baby, but it is not easy.
What then are you to do to enjoy true peace in your heart?
Jesus promised us in John 14:27 saying, “Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.” So, true peace comes only from the Father above through the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.
But even if you profess the faith in God, unless you dwell in the truth, you cannot enjoy true peace within you. If you fail to throw away hatred, quarrels, envy, arrogance, hot-temperedness, and pride from the heart, you will lose peace from within your heart. For example, when you hear a word that defies you, you may feel hurt in your pride, your heart be upset and hatred will be provoked.
When you find that some people who look worse than you enjoy better life, your heart may be disturbed and discomforted because of jealousy and envy. Then, you will feel frustrated and lose a desire to do something important. The more untruths you have in your heart the less true peace comes upon your heart.
Only when you throw away fleshly parts of your heart and fill it with the hope for heaven and the word of truth of God, will peace come upon you.
If you have completely cast away pride and hot-temperedness, no matter who speaks against and bothers you, you will never feel uncomfortable or burdensome. No matter how unreasonably and wrongfully you are rebuked, you will look back at your past life once again and smile at the other with warmth.
So, even if you have not become fully sanctified yet, when you lead a proper religious life and cast away untruths one by one from the heart, the joy from the Father above and the hope for heaven will fill your heart and your face will shine spiritual lights. That is how you can enjoy true peace.
Therefore, I prayerfully urge you to throw away evils and sins quickly and change your heart into truth so that you can enjoy true peace and comfort.
In Proverbs 1:33, God says, “But he who listens to me shall live securely and will be at ease from the dread of evil.” So may God give blessing in everything you do and fill your heart with joy and peace of heaven, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ I pray!
