Passage
[Ezekiel 47: 1-5]
[3] When the man went out toward the east with a line in his hand, he measured a thousand cubits, and he led me through the water, water reaching the ankles. [4] Again he measured a thousand and led me through the water, water reaching the knees. Again he measured a thousand and led me through the water, water reaching the loins. [5] Again he measured a thousand; and it was a river that I could not ford, for the water had risen, enough water to swim in, a river that could not be forded.”
This is the 20th session of God Measures Our Faith.
Jesus said as follows about the purpose of Himself coming down to this earth.
He said in John 3:17, “For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.”
As He said, He did not come for judgment but for salvation, and He preached, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near!”
Moreover, to solve the problem of sin fundamentally, He died on the cross shedding His blood.
But many people turned their backs on Jesus and persecuted Him.
Eventually they went the way of death.
The Bible explains the reason for it as follows:
John 3:19-20 says, “This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil. [20] For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed.”
Thankfully, you and I did not stay away or hide from the Light.
But rather we came towards the Light.
When our darkness was revealed by the Light, we tried to cast it away rather than avoiding the Light with fear.
The message I am delivering today is the word of Light that reveals the darkness.
If you have pangs in your thoughts or have some fear because you realize your darkness through the message, I hope you will try to come towards the Light from now.
Then, the darkness will eventually go away.
Ephesians 5:13 says, “But all things become visible when they are exposed by the light, for everything that becomes visible is light.”
Jesus said in John 14:27, “Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.”
I pray in the name of the Lord who came as Light that you will remove darkness completely and enjoy such peace.
