Genesis 1:1
[1] In the beginning God created heavens and the earth
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ.
This is the 21st Lecture on Genesis.
In the last lecture, among the beings in the world of evil spirits, I told you about Lucifer, the dragons and their servants, and Satan.
In this lecture, I’m going to talk about the fallen angels that were released from the Abyss and about demons.
I told you already that one third of angels participated in the rebellion of Lucifer, and that they were confined in the Abyss when the rebellion failed.
And then, as Lucifer was released for the purpose of Human Cultivation, some of the fallen angels were also released.
These angels that were released fall into two categories according to their roles.
One is “the devil” and the other is “messenger of hell” in the Lower Grave.
Let me briefly explain the Messenger of Hell first.
The roles of a messenger of hell are to drag dead souls that are not saved to the lower grave and to administer the punishments to such souls.
Two angels in white robes stand by for a saved soul who is about to die. On the other hand, when an un-saved soul is dying, two messengers of hell in black await the soul.
In a movie, a messenger of hell usually puts on a black dress with dark blue colored make up on.
The real messengers of hell look much more horrible, but the imagined messengers resemble the real ones quite a bit.
The messengers of hell completely lost the original look of beautiful angels.
Generally, they are so dark and bleak that their look can make your hair rise.
Sometimes, some people who cannot receive salvation become terribly afraid and completely horrified as to see the messengers of hell at the doorstep of death.
Their body becomes stiffen from fear, and even some of them die with their eyes open.
The messengers of hell that give punishments in the Lower Grave have even more grotesquely horrifying appearances.
They give out strong energy of evil, and torture those unsaved souls with various tools.
They don’t do such things on their own, but they move according to the heart and will of Lucifer.
The messengers of hell just display the heart of Lucifer as they receive it.
Now, let me tell you about the role of the devil.
Simply speaking, the role of devils is exactly opposite to that of angels.
For example, there are angels that keep and protect the saved children of God.
These angels help their masters accomplish the truth, and they rejoice together when their masters succeed.
On the other hand, devils force people by any and all means to commit sin, and then they rejoice when the people commit sin.
They do not work only on those who don’t believe in God, but also on those who are believers.
1 Peter 5:8 says, “Be of sober spirit, be on the alert your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.”
As said, the devil prowls around, seeking someone to devour.
Say, someone received a work of Satan, and his sinful attribute stirred in his heart, and the devil spotted him.
Then, the devil doesn’t lose this chance, but incites this man all the more.
The devil agitates the sinful attribute and this eventually makes him commit the deeds of untruth.
As the work of Satan is to provoke the untruth through thought, the work of the devil is to make the people put the thoughts of untruth into action.
That’s why the bible says that the one who commits sin is of the devil.
1 John 3:8 says, “the one who practices sin is of the devil; for the devil has sinned from the beginning The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil.”
Likewise, the devil incites people to commit all kinds of sins.
The devil also plays the role of bringing trials and afflictions for the price of the sin they commit.
However, it doesn’t mean that the devil directly enters the people and does the work.
People come to have the thought of untruth by the work of Satan, and when their sinful attributes are stirred up in their hearts, then the devil begins working.
For example, someone calls you a bad name.
If you have truth in your heart more than untruth, you will receive the work of the Holy Spirit and look back on yourself.
You will first think, “Did I do something that made him call me a bad name? Did I do something to him?”
Even if you did nothing wrong, as you are the man of truth, you will listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit will remind you, “The Lord told you to love even your enemies. You should not hate him only because he called you a bad name. You shouldn’t have ill feelings against him. There must be a reason for him to do so. Understand him more and love him more.”
In this way, the Holy Spirit gives you a voice helping you think in the truth, and act by the truth.
As you listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit, you will receive more strength, and practice the truth.
On the other hand, if you have untruth more than truth, it’s easier for you to receive the work of Satan.
The elements of untruth in your heart combine with the work of the darkness that Satan has spread, and they become a thought of flesh.
“Why does he call me a bad name? Who does he think he is calling me a bad name?” This kind of thought of flesh arises.
Once the passageway of thought opens like this, soon ill feelings in your heart are provoked.
Bad feelings, uneasy feelings, hatred and so on come to roll and pitch in your heart.
Once the work of untruth takes place in your heart like this, the time is right to receive the work of the devil.
And the untruth of your heart is about to be revealed externally.
The light in your eyes changes when you glare at the one who called you a bad name.
Your face becomes cold like a stone.
You also come to speak in a brusque manner.
Those who have comparatively more evil and untruth in their heart will have their deeds of untruth develop more serious way.
They may even exchange calling each other bad names, he might hit him and then they eventually fight with each other.
Likewise, the role of the devil is different from that of Satan.
That’s why the Bible in some parts says that Judas Iscariot received the work of Satan, but it also says that he received the work of the devil in other parts.
For Judas Iscariot to sell his sinless teacher, Jesus, was such an act so evil that it should not have happened.
But Judas Iscariot thought of such an evil act, and there was also a moment to hesitate to do it.
It was time when he was being incited by Satan.
But then, he completely gave over his heart and finally made a decision to sell Jesus.
If someone opens the passageway – “thought” – to Satan and continues to receive the work of Satan, the work of Satan will eventually reach his heart.
In the last lecture, I explained that this state is called “Satan entered into someone.”
Then, the devil takes over the next step; the devil makes him commit acts of untruth.
Luke 22:3-4 says, “And Satan entered into Judas who was called Iscariot, belonging to the number of the twelve. And he went away and discussed with the chief priests and officers how he might betray Him to them.”
Jesus knew Judas Iscariot would do like this from the beginning.
And so, Jesus said in John 6:70, “Did I Myself not choose you, the twelve, and yet one of you is a devil?”
It was not the time Jesus said like this when Judas Iscariot betrayed Jesus, but Jesus foretold it knowing its consequence already.
When people receive the work of the devil, the untruth in their hearts comes out as an action.
That is; they do the deed of the flesh, which is the sin they commit in action.
Referring to those who receive the work of the devil, 1 John 3:10 calls them “the children of the devil.”
Chances are that some people, when they receive the work of the devil, commit horrible crimes that a human being should never do.
There are heinous crimes that cannot be tolerated by moral standard, not to mention the standard of faith.
When people are completely captivated by the devil, they commit such acts.
Such evil acts are called the “acts of the devil.”
These are the evil acts that are much more serious that other general deeds of the flesh.
As these “acts of the devil” go beyond a certain limit, demons enter into the individual.
There are other cases too when demons enter into people.
Now, let me talk about demons from this point on.
Demons fall into the category of evil spirits. Unlike fallen angels, however, they are not spiritual beings that were created before the Creation.
Demons were originally human beings that were created from the dust like we were.
Under special conditions after they die some of the unsaved souls come out of the body yet later enter the world, in doing so they become demons.
Once the unsaved souls die, they are first dragged to the waiting place in the Lower Grave.
Among them, some souls that meet some conditions become demons and come out to the earth.
Demons are the lowest ranks in the world of evil spirits, and they function like underlings of the devil.
Of course, the devil controls the demons according to the will of Lucifer.
Then, what kind of souls become demons?
First, when they sell their soul over to Satan, they may become demons.
With greed for wealth and authority, some people sell their souls to evil spirits in order to receive help of the evil spirits.
For example, some artists worship Satan in order to get some inspiration.
If you see a historical movie, there are people who practice sorcery using their souls as security in order to destroy those who stand against them politically.
When such people die, they can become demons.
It is because they played like subordinates of Satan even when they were alive.
However, not all of them become demons.
According to the standard of the spiritual realm, they may become demons, or they may not.
Second case is when they commit suicide in their evil.
When unsaved souls die, they all go to the waiting place in the Lower Grave.
Among such souls, those who commit suicide in their evil become demons and come out to the earth again.
The case of exception is that of Judas Iscariot; even though he committed suicide, he is made to stand in front of the souls who receive the 4th level punishments, and he receives unceasing punishments.
He became the exemplary case to show what the punishment of death, ‘the wage of sin’, is like.
The third case to become demons is when souls fall down grievously and lose faith even though they met God and walked the way of faith.
For example, there are people who seriously complain and stand against God when they undergo trials such as when their children die.
Or, there are people who become enticed by the world and completely fall into the flesh even after they live a believing life.
This is the case when they commit the evident deeds of the flesh too many times to turn back.
Hebrews 6:6 says that such people are those who “again crucify to themselves the Son of God and put Him to open shame.”
If they again crucify the Lord who saved them, it is such a grave sin.
When such people die, some of them become demons.
The fourth case is when souls stand and blaspheme against the Holy Spirit even though they know the truth.
Jesus said in Matthew 12:32, “whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come.”
It means that the sin of speaking and blaspheming against the Holy Spirit is such a grave sin.
When people who fall into this category die, they may become demons.
Now, what is it the spiritual environment like that demons are put into?
Their spiritual environment is actually more painful than the Lower Grave.
Basically, there is the pain that results from the difference of the spaces.
Say, man is created to live on the earth.
However, man can live under the water inside a submarine, and man can live in the air inside an airplane. But the best place for man to live in is the ground on the earth.
Likewise, the spiritual beings feel most comfortable when they in a spiritual space.
Therefore, demons feel much better when they stay in the Lower Grave which is a spiritual space than on the earth which is a fleshly space.
Moreover, when demons stay in this world, how they feel can be described as follows.
They feel like as if they were standing alone in the wilderness where snowstorms or sandstorms blast at them.
They feel an intensely severe loneliness and pain.
If man is put into such an environment, he will desperately look for a place to avoid the extreme conditions.
It is the same with demons.
The best place for demons to stay in is the body of a human being.
That’s why once they enter into the body of a man, they will try to never leave.
However, demons cannot enter into just anyone.
They can do it only when a spiritual condition is met.
Then, which person can demons enter into?
I already told you about a case when I explained about the “acts of the devil” earlier.
First, as the level of the devil acts of someone goes beyond a certain limit, demons can enter into him.
There are people whose heart is stained by sin too much to have a guilty conscience.
Their conscience has been seared with a hot iron, and they have no goodness at all.
Since they completely become the slaves to the devil, the devil can control demons that enter into them.
Second is when people have spiritual problems in their family due to their ancestors or parents.
As evil acts such as worshipping idols pile up for generations to go beyond the limit where God can show His mercy, the family is given over to the hand of evil spirits.
Depending on the level of their evil, Lucifer decides whether diseases come upon them or demons enter into them.
Chances are that both of them can come upon the person.
For example, in Chapter 9 of the gospel of Mark we find the story of “a son who was possessed with a demon which made him mute and deaf.”
Also, in Luke 13:11 appears “a woman who for eighteen years had had a sickness caused by a spirit; and she was bent double, and could not straighten up at all.”
There are cases people cannot hear or speak due to diseases or accidents, but there are other cases because demons enter into them.
Third case is that of demons being able to enter into even believers.
Some may continually seek spiritual gifts and power without circumcising their hearts.
They do so because they are arrogant and they want to be lifted and to flaunt themselves.
If they seek with such a heart, God cannot give what they want.
However, if they still continue to seek from their greed, Satan can disguise himself as an angel of light (2 Cor 11:14), and promises them to give what they seek.
If they say “Amen” without realizing it is Satan that is the giver, demons can enter into them.
If it happens, they themselves are not able to realize it in the beginning.
Even though the voice from inside them is the voice of demons, they are confused to think it is the voice of the Holy Spirit.
It is because the demons use the word of God such as “Preach the gospel” or “Be faithful.”
In order not to reveal the true identity, they work craftily in the beginning.
However, they eventually reveal their identities.
Demons make them do things that cannot make sense; even the things that are beyond the scope of truth.
It is too late to realize what is happening.
Since they gave in their free will to demons, they become nothing but the puppets of the demons.
Dear brothers and sisters.
How can you save those who are demon possessed?
In other words, how can you drive out the demons?
First, when a demon-possessed man comes into his sense even for a moment, you have to help him realize his fault and repent of it.
You should find the cause that allowed for the demons to come into him, and get rid of the cause.
Not only his physical family, but also the family of faith should give frequent worship service, and seek his salvation in love on behalf of him.
For your information, when a demon-possessed man is with you, you should sing hymnals of the blood of the Lord more than the hymns of Heaven or grace.
Since the enemy devil and Satan know the power of the precious blood of the Lord, they fear when we sing the hymns of His blood.
After you prepare like this, when a man with spiritual power prays, the demons will go out.
When you drive out demons, you should open your eyes wide, stare at the eyes of the demon-possessed man, and command like this;
“In the name of Jesus Christ, I command you, dirty demons! Go out! Lose the bindings of hell and go away!”
The more sanctified and the more full of the Holy Spirit, the stronger the spiritual light from the eyes.
Since demons are also spiritual beings, as they see the light, they tremble in fear and they are overpowered.
They is nothing else that he can do but to obey when you command them with spiritual power.
By the way, when you drive away demons, you should command them to go to the water or fire.
Spiritually water is the word of God, and fire is the fire of the Holy Spirit.
The dirty demons – the dirty spirit as written in the Bible – look for a place where there is no word of God; the place where there is no truth, goodness, or love.
And so, Jesus said in Matthew 12:43, “Now when the unclean spirit goes out of a man, it passes through waterless places seeking rest, and does not find it.”
Where there is water, in other words, where there is the word of God active and working, demons cannot work.
In addition, when the fire of the Holy Spirit touches demons, they lose their power; the authority of the darkness.
Therefore, when you drive out demons, you should command them to go to either water or fire.
When a man of spiritual authority commands, they cannot but obey. As demons go to either water or fire, they lose their power, and they cannot practice the authority of the darkness.
And after demons left a certain man, you should help him fill his heart with the word of God.
I said, since the environment where demons stay is very poor, they try to enter into a man.
Therefore, after demons are driven out, what is the place they can think of first?
It is the man the demons were driven out from.
If is possible, if there is any chance at all to go they come back to check the man.
Once they find there is no water – the truth – in his heart, they don’t lose the chance; they may enter into him again.
In order not to be driven out again, they come back with stronger demons.
Jesus said in Matthew 12:44-45, “Then it says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came’ and when it comes, it finds it unoccupied, swept, and put in order. Then it goes and takes along with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there; and the last state of that man becomes worse than the first.”
Therefore, the one who was once possessed by demons should make bread of the word of God all the more diligently, and try hard to be sanctified.
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ.
Up until tonight, I’ve briefly explained to you about the spiritual beings.
I spent a total of 10 lectures including tonight’s to tell you about the world of angels and cherubim that God created, and the world of the evil spirits with Lucifer as its head.
For human cultivation, God divided spiritual spaces, and created spiritual beings.
In order to get true children in perfect justice, He endured the rebellion of Lucifer, and He even allowed her to establish the world of evil spirits.
If we are to compare the human cultivation to a game, there is not an opponent and game rules are also set.
We now need a stage where the actual game can take place.
The stage for the human cultivation is the earth where the mankind lives and the solar system to which the earth belongs.
And then, God began the Creation of heavens and the earth.
From the next lecture, I will begin the explanation about the works of the Creation.
Panoramic stories of the Creation will be unfolded before you.
I urge you to make bread of this message every week.
There will be great difference between those who make bread from this message and those who don’t.
If you arm yourself well with the word of spirit, your spirit and soul will prosper, and you will surely receive blessing in all things.
May you wisely save your time and ride on the flow of spirit well, in the name of the Lord, Jesus Christ, I pray!
[Amen!]
